Benefits of Sugar Scrubs

Heat and extreme cold weather can do a number on your skin, creating flakes and an itchyness that is hard to deal with! Not good!

You take a bath to clean your skin, but that isn’t helping with the dryness that’s there. This is where our Sugar Scrubs come in!

Unlike salt scrubs, sugar scrubs are gently and don’t burn. They give your skin a beautiful and healthy appearance. Use it in the shower before shaving and the shea butter and cocoa butter will help moisturize while the sugar polishes away the dry and itchy skin. Smooth and soft!

A Sugar Scrub treatment should be your once-a-week bath ritual that you will wish you started sooner. Sugar produces glycolic acid, a natural alpha hydroxyl acid that exfoliates your skin. Alpha hydroxy acids work by stimulating dead cells on the surface of the skin and inside the pores so they can slough off more easily. When the scrub is used, it helps to dissolve and remove the outer layer of dead skin cells as well as in the pores. By decreasing the thickness of dead cells on the surface, a new layer of skin with a smoother texture and a more uniform color can be revealed.
