My New Kindle Fire

So I recently got a Kindle Fire as a gift.  I love it!  BUT - I can't update my blog (at least I haven't found a way to) and I can't play Candy Crush (i'm an addict!).  I'm sure there's more that I haven't figured out yet - I just haven't gone through everything.  Anyone who has one - any suggestions?  Summer reading?  Apps?

Snow Day = Soap Fun!

Decided to use a snow day to work on some new soaps! Brown Sugar and Pumpkin Pie...wow, the house is going to smell sooo good! Hope everyone who got snow (and got snowed in!) are safe and having a great day!

Ugh...Windows 8 is not my friend

Just a small venting timeslot to say how much I hate Windows 8. It is absolutely horrible and it seems that I'm not the only one. Everyone so far that I have talked to said they hate it too. I really want to switch the 2 computers to the previous version of Windows.

OK...I got that out of my system. :)

Birthday Party Favors

We recently did 130 favors for a birthday party.  They were customized with flowers on top that we personally layered and gemmed.  They turned out so cute!  The customer was absolutely thrilled when we delivered them to her.  Here is a shot of them....

With the holidays behind us, and vacation over....it's time to get back to work!  

We are preparing to work on lots of soaps and scrubs (and try out some new items and scents too!).

Back to Reality

Wow! What a crazy 2 months it has been! After the hurricane, we had so much to do, plus the holidays, plus a MUCH-NEEDED vacation! Finally back to normal life - and we have a lot of things to prepare for the new year! Hope everyone had a great holiday and have a FANTASTIC 2013! :)

The Aftermath of Sandy

We now have power, cable and internet.  As happy as i am...there are families who were hit far worse than we are who not only do not have power, they lost their entire homes.  Looking at the devestation in the surrounding towns (literally within just a few miles from us) - it's so sad to see what this has done to so many people.  Our prayers to everyone who is suffering through this terrible time.

Hurricane Sandy

Well Hurricane #Sandy has hit our area. Luckily my section of town hasn't been too bad. A lot of wind and no power for the last 6 hours. Some areas have been hit really bad! A lot of flooding and some people have lost their homes. Boardwalks are either demolished or completely gone and transformers are blowing up all over. My grandmothers town (and it's the town I grew up in) is completely under water...yea the whole town! I have no idea what her house is like right now. Thankfully she is staying at my parents house. And it's not over yet. My prayers to those who have been affected worse than I have!

Our Travel Soap Cups are a hit! 

I havent even gotten them up on the website yet! I am currently making A LOT of them to fulfill orders - and then making even MORE to put up on the site! At only $2 each - the are flying out of here!

Just finished making lots of Travel Soap Cups in Honey Almond Scent. This is our newest product that you are sure to love. Wow - they smell amazing!!

I hate when you're in the store trying to look at cards, and people constantly step in front of you or play the musical ones over and over and over again.  Check this out...you can use it wherever you go (no annoying people involved!).  Lots of choices too!

I've become a coupon addict!

I never got so excited to shop before - ok that might be a lie. :)

But seriously....the first time i used coupons, was definitely not my last! I have been insane about them ever since. Up until recently, I scoured the Sunday newspapers for them. Now I can get them online too - wow!

My boyfriend was amazed at how little I have spent on things like ziplock bags, cat food, razors, shampoo, etc. Maybe I've created another coupon monster! :)

I found that some stores (like Target) let you "stack" coupons - meaning you can use their store coupon AND a manufacturers coupon on one item....even MORE savings!  I happen to shop in Target frequently so I tend to bring my coupons with me just in case I spot a great deal.

2012 Teen Choice Awards

We are in the process of uploading and labeling photos from the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, where our miniature Cupcake Soaps were included in the swag bags in the Gift Lounge.  Here's a little teaser...

Storms & Such

A very severe storm last night closed down an entire town! Trees are down and wires are all over the place. The town looks like a tornado came through. With that said...we will not be going to the fair today since the town is in a state of emergency.
